Why I Created the Nursaholic Mail Membership

There are moments in your journey when an idea doesn’t just feel like a business move… it feels like a calling.

That’s exactly how The Scrub Society was born.

Over the past five years as a nurse — from Med-Surg to Pediatrics to becoming a Fetal Nurse Navigator — I’ve met so many incredible nursing students and nurses who are overwhelmed, burnt out, doubting themselves, and quietly questioning if they’re cut out for this profession.

And I’ve been there too.

I know what it feels like to:

Cry after a failed exam.

Question your career choice.

Feel unsupported in clinical.

Be mentally exhausted after a shift.

Wonder if anyone truly understands what you’re carrying.

And I kept thinking…

What if nurses had something tangible to hold onto during those moments?

Something personal.

Something encouraging.

Something that reminded them why they started.

So I created The Scrub Society Mail Membership.

 

Why I Created It

Nursaholic has always been more than study guides and cheat sheets. It’s always been about encouragement, real talk, and building a community where nurses feel seen.

The Scrub Society is an extension of that.

In a world that feels increasingly digital and impersonal, I wanted to bring back something old-school and meaningful — snail mail.

A personalized encouragement letter. Words written from my heart to yours. A small surprise to brighten your month. A reminder that you are not alone in this journey.

I created it because I know how powerful words can be.

I created it because I remember wishing someone would tell me, “You belong here.”

And I created it because sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest impact.
